This is a report of seven cases of primary maligmant tumor of duodenum who were treated at Presbyterian Medical Center from February 1966 to February 1969, Also literatures of these diseases -were reviewed.
In our experience, two were adenocarcinoma, one was maligmant carcinoid and the remainders were cases of lymphoma of various cell types such as lymphosarcoma, reticulum cell sarcoma, Hodgkin´s disease and lymphoma unclassified.
The therapy consisted of pancreaticoduodenectomy in three cases, with additional deep radiation´ therapy in one case of lymphoma, one case had -resection of duodenum and radiation therapy. Three cases had various types of by-pass procedures and radiation therapy in one case of lymphoma.
The cases of tumor of ampulla of Vater were excluded from this report.
There was no cure among our cases. The average survival was 27 months.
